Found an old Suburban used by Canadian Park Rangers!
I bought this '66 Sub and it actually belonged to Parks Canada originally! I would really like to restore it to original paint scheme and find the correct decals for the doors that would have been used during that time period.
Mind you I plan to bag it and throw some 22/24's on it. but I would really like to put the correct Parks Canada decals back on, bringing it some former glory. she sure is rotten, and I am not sure how I am gonna fix the fenders as I can't seem to find any reproduction fleetside bedsides.. just a few patch panels.. I am new the the 60-66 side of things, geez for them 67+ years you can get any sheet metal you want! I was told this truck was in service in the Banff/Jasper park area, colours seem right and the doors did have big decals on them at one time, which are sanded off. there are some parks canada sickers on the door windows, so I do think the previous owner was on the up and up. but I really am having a hard time tracking down photos so I can get the decals right (when I get to this project in a few years!) Can't wait to get on this project! sure hope it's not too far gone to restore, once I get into it (picked it up for only $250, so no real loss) I sure am gonna have to do a lot of research, I have no idea where to find suburban parts and seats for this thing!?
