Okay, I figured out what I'm going to do to tide me over as I fix body panels and rust repair.
I want to fix only the critical areas that I don't want to allow to get worse.
The hood has some surface rust and the fenders need some help.
Here is what the truck looked like in 2004:


Here's a truck from these forums where the guy mixed a little blue in with primer gray:


So it got me thinking;
I could add some flat black to blue to match the color,
and then add flat white to lighten the shade to match.


I have some SPI Epoxy Primer that I'll put in direct contact with metal as I clean an area up.
Then I'll paint that repair area with my color match mix.
Then, down the road when I can afford to give it a good paint job,
I can just strip the whole truck and only strip the repair areas down to the SPI Epoxy.
