Dilema , Dilema.

So I dont know what to do at the moment. I have a 68 shortbed, Power Steering, NO AC , I switched to a 5 lug rear end. and am almost done with the 71-72 Disc brake conversion up front. It needs a lot of body work. Body panels are straight but the fleetside shortbed needs the most, maybe a patch or two and some straitening work. Interior is just a bench seat, no headliner, no carpet ,somebody cut the dash to install a newer stero really bad door panels. It has a 355 Small block and 350 Tranny not drivable at the moment because still working out the kinks with the disc brake install..



Now I just found on a craigslist a excellent condition 68 SWB with no Motor or Tranny. This thing is all primered and all the body panels looks straight. has all the lights , great fleetside bed . The interior is great , original. has the original stereo , and AC!!! ( big thing for me ) the interior looks pretty much 100 % has what looks like new rally wheels, with new ? tires and it looks a bit lowered. They want $4800 for the complete shell..Is this a good price ?


Would it come out cheaper for me in the long run to buy this shell and just drop in my engine and tranny and sell my current shell ?

Here is my truck as it sits now. I currently have about $3800 invested in this truck. And probably need about $2-300 to have it actually driving ( ugly but driving )
