72 mirror locations

Finished the new door skin today and need to mount the new mirrors. Could someone please give me the measurements to the front screw on the 72 sport mirrors. The factory assembly manual has measurements but they corespond to reference points and I can not figure out how to locate the reference points. That information would be helpfull also. I do know the right mirror sits further back. I could guess, but I do not like to do that. Thanks.
