If I am correct it is not all chrome, it should have red and white paint stripes below the "Custom" logo. In a world were most everything is modified for one reason or another, it is a treat to see a GMC looking the way it did in 1966.(except for that photo with the car style full wheel covers of course)

Here you go Factorystock. I shot a bunch of detail shots of the underhood of the red 66 GMC 18,000 mile truck. It has quite a few chalk markings on the firewall and even some on the underside of the hood. The firewall is mostly red but like you say the interior fawn color is there in places. Notice the shinny inner fenders and other black sheet metal, that's another GMC only thing. NOTHING under the hood has been repainted or changed from day one on this truck other than the horns and air conditioner. I haven't washed or detailed anything but a good careful cleaning needs to be done.
