Modular Spindles - What are the advantages?
Looking at a drop kit for my GMC. While this is not going to be a rocketship (at first) .. it may get an LS2 (or comparable) at some point in it's life. It's just a stock 350 for now.
While I'm at it, I'm looking at big brakes, etc. What are the advantages / disadvantages to having modular spindles? Does it help with clearance issues? Does it put me in a situation where I can only use certain brake parts, etc? I want it to handle like a newer car / truck and stopping is important to me. I don't want to buy a stock conversion kit then wish I would have gotten the big brakes. I have matching Hellwig swaybars ready to go on it too. .. I have dropped a bunch of cars / trucks .. but never using modulars. Help me out. Is it worth the added expense? What do I gain / lose? thanks ..
