Re: Project "Funky Monkey"

Yesterday I worked my butt off to get everything back on the truck so I could take her to the Caffeine and Octain car show this morning but it was pouring down rain and I didnt want to dirty up my truck and wipers havent been installed yet, so I didnt go.

Horrible thing happened last night tho... I had some of the neighborhood kids (teenagers) over helping me put the bed back on and to line the mounting holes up I needed it to be bumped over about half an inch.... so one of the kids bumped it really hard and did it right in the middle of my rear fender. It cracked my fender really bad and broke off some of the bondo used to repair it before I bought it. It REALLY sucks. I will post up a pic of it tonight. Man I wanted to cry.

I actually got out yesterday and drove her around for about an hour. The ride is very smooth but I noticed if I get on it then try to slow down really fast the truck starts to almost feel like it is going to loose control. It starts swaying side to side... I dont know if I am just not use to the sensativity of the new Rack and Pinion or if there is something wrong. I took it to a Goodyear Gemini last night to have it aligned at my ride heigth... would allignment have anything to do with that?

When it stops raining I will take her out and get you guys some videos.
