71 C20 Full Restore

So here is the build thread for my 1971 C20. The truck is a single cab long bed 350 manual trans 4x4 truck. I paid $400.00 for it and after scrapping the plow and selling the ladder rack I ended up only investing $250.00. My plans are to restore it frame off, over the course of the next few years. I am still in college and working full time, but I love working on trucks and this is the vintage I have been looking for for quite some time. Anyway I will stop talking and give everybody some pics of what I have done so far.

Here is the day I bought the truck...

Then I removed and sold the ladder rack....

Then I removed the plow....

I just ordered the exhaust manifolds as the truck currently has one long tube header and one manifold on it, I also plan to order a manifold back exhaust system as well. I also need to fix the brakes because the brake pedal will not automatically return, and there are very little brakes when depressed. I am pretty sure this is a master cylinder issue, after this it will be road worthy. The truck was undercoated so it is pretty solid with the exception of the bed sides which will need to be replaced.

Here are some more pics that I have taken as well.

I have a lot of work to do but the truck is really solid to start with, no holes in the cab floor, the passenger side still has factory paint. Hopefully this forum will help me with some questions I am sure I will have.

Thanks in advance,
Robert
