Help me lower a ....Longhorn

Ok, today I scored a set of BellTech drop spindles from an '84 1ton dually. I know the spindles are the same for dually and non dually. I also looked up the ball joints for a '71 and an '84 and they are the same for a 1ton and 3/4ton. BUT my truck is a '70!
I plan on the non-dually disc brakes(of course),but these spindles have slide on calipers (had hydroboost) that use a wedge to secure the caliper to the spindle. So I plan on getting the calipers for the spindles and a master cylinder to match. My question is can I use that master cylinder with my stock vacuum booster? Or do I have to go hydroboost?
I hope this all makes sense.
Thanks
OH..also can I use my stock upper and lower A-arms and just change out the ball joints to the newer ones?
Thanks
