Flexplate in my BBC 66

I thought I would share this with you guys. Before I installed the cab for the last time I wanted to hear the engine spin over just by the starter not start it. Because the last time I ran the engine the starter had a hard time turning it over I had to add (3) starter shim to get it turning over fast enought to start. Well I spun it over and it just didn't sound right. So I removed the trans and the flexplate. I measured from the hub to valley of gear about (12) locations it was out of round by .045 so I picked up another one from Napa is was out of round by .100. Then I bought A Pioneer SFI certified flexplate it was out of round by .015 I can live with that she spun free. Just a note just because it's new does't mean it's good watch out for the off shore crap.
