Another AC Vacuum question

I am trying to find a good and strong source for the vacuum of my AC unit in my 72 C10 with factory air.

I need to run the hose from the vacuum tank under my dash to provide vacuum and was wondering which way would work best?

I have two choices - (1) use a T and tap into the main line from the valve cover and the carb (2) use a T and tap into the vacuum advance of the distributor. What is your opinion - see two pictures below.

Thanks for your help,

KellerMac
