Question Mix and matching leaf springs for my truck

Hey fellas, as some of you know I just bought another square body and the frame is toast. I have a 1 ton frame to replace it but found out it is a Dually 4x4 frame so the frame won't work due to the springs being too narrow. I was wondering if I took some leafs off of my donor trucks and stacked them to increase its load hold would this work?/ I have a 1977 K10 that has a MINT chassis and I need a 3/4 or 1 Ton to do the work I will be doing. I have to use the K10 now with the 3/4 ton axles. I know the rear springs are shorter but I was wondering if any of you guys ever combine springs to make a stiffer truck? I have two donor trucks, one with 9 leaf set-up and one with 8 leaf set-up. I just want to use the lower leafs because they are shorter and can stack on my K10 leafs. Thanks in advance guys.
