67-70 vs. 70-72 rear axle length???

Does anyone have the specs for what the 67-70 1/2 axle shaft measures vs. the 70 1/2 thru 72 axle shaft measures?

And then how are they being measured? Outside axle face to the end or inside axle face to the end?

Hoping for someone who has one apart, I can find measurements on the board by searching but I have a discrepancy with a build at work and I'm wanting to double check!

I will be pulling my 71 axle apart to check it tonight. I will measure outside, where the drum sits to the very inner tip where the c clip goes.
