70 Custom 10 LWB as a parts truck or repaired
OK guys, what do you think this one is worth? While looking for parts for my 72, I ran up on a pretty solid 70 Custom 10 LWB truck. unfortunately I didn't have my camera with me when I found the truck so I don't have any pics
The good: this truck has a super solid cab, doors, bed and tailgate, original paint, 86k miles, completely stock everywhere, all glass in really nice condition, nice green dash pad, AM radio, nice seat with a slight tear on the DS. No rust in the rockers, rocker supports or floors, no rust in the cab corners, no rust in the doors, no rust in the bed or tailgate, all the trim is nice. The bad: Its a long bed, truck has been hit in the front end destroying the grill, radiator, radiator support, bumper, drivers side fender, drivers side inner fender, steering box, bending (not killing)the frame horns in front of the first cross member (below the core support, not engine cross-member)....possibly some other bent suspension pieces on the driver side? Truck is a 250 engine with a 3 on the tree, PS fender has rust in the bottom front corner as well as inner fender rust through. Tailgate has a dent on the top as if something had been dropped on it, about the size of an orange. really nice rear step bumper instead of sport bumper, dent in the original gas cap! So what would this truck be worth, and would it be best used as a parts truck or should a person fix the truck back, resale it and used the profit (if any) to buy parts? thanks soooo much guys!! |
