Parting out my '63 might be the answer ...
I hate to say it, but doing so would help my quest in building the 'Burb.
1) The doors on the truck are REALLY nice compared to the ones on 'Burb.. 2) The trucks hood, would give up it's sheetmetal for repairs... 3) The bed would also give up some of its sheet metal for lower quarter repairs. Along with front eye brow, and a pillars repairs. 4) Truck has the donor (uncut) double hump dash (if I go that route, starting to like GMC dash) 5) I've been slowly collecting disk brake parts for the '63 Crossmember, which could be swapped. Etc..... At the same time, besides it needing small floor patches, the truck is solid. If I try and sell the truck as is, I could probably only get $1000-$1500 MAX. I dont think this would get me all the parts/sheet metal for the 'Burb. Really convinient having access to sheetmetal/parts so close to each other. Guess I could always sell the Big Back Window and sheetmetal when I'm done with it ?
