1984 A/C Accumulator styles

Hey guys,
I have a question regarding the style accumulators for the factory A/C system on my 84 Silverado. It appears that the factory accumulator’s output tube is coming from the bottom (red arrow), where the aftermarket ones have the output tube at the top of the accumulator (black aarow).

Will these aftermarket accumulators work with the factory hoses? The reason I am replacing the accumulator is because when I was working on the truck, I accidently damaged the aluminum tube (the one coming from the bottom of the accumulator). Also, since I will be flushing the system and recharging it, I wanted to replace the accumulator.

I believe the reason these aftermarket accumulator’s are designed like this is to eliminate that funky U shaped aluminum tube. It looks like the factory hose could screw right onto the accumulator instead of screwing to the funky tube.

Anyone running this aftermarket style and still using factory hoses?

Thanks,

James
