72 Super Senior Member Join Date: Jul 2001 Location: Hyattsville, Maryland Posts: 3,685	Identifying an Original 1972 truck gas tank I would like to find an original 1972 gas tank for my truck. I believe the filler neck is smaller in diameter correct? Is there anything else to look for when trying to identify one? Ours was replaced years ago with one from a 1970 I believe.
