Lt-1 Engine Installers-header Questions!

It's almost time to put my motor in my 67 2wd Truck and I had some questions about what other LT-1 installers have done about headers. The LT-1 motors have D-shaped ports inlike those of early non-fuel injected motors. I have yet to see any manufacturer make them for D-shaped heads, except for one company who make block-hugger headers. I am not certain that these would fit on a 67-72 2wd Truck or not. A man who works for Hooker recomended that I use the factory style 67-87 headers with at least 1 3/4" pimary tubes to compensate for the type of ports that the LT-1 motor uses. I also don't know if this would be okay or not.

So if you have installed a 93-97 Lt-1 motor in your Truck, please let me know what you did about exhaust manifolds or headers. Any help or suggestion would be appreciated alot!!
