My girlfriend crafts the earrings and I fire them to 2300 degrees in a hard brick kiln fired only with wood, which can take up to 5 days of continual firing. The only glaze on them comes from the melting woodash which contains silica and minerals from the ground which gives a unique and unpredictable glossy texture.
