You have to use the '67 -'71 1 ton (133" wheelbase) chassis to keep the rear wheels inside the bed. If memory serves me correctly the '72 rear was 1 1/2" wider than the earlier ones and the '73 up were even wider than that. You would have to do a lot more modification to build one out of a later frame.
