How to understand assembly manual model designations?

In the assembly manual there are often differentiations in instructions by model, but I'm not 100% sure I understand how to read them.

Usually there is a prefix (C, K, M, CA, KA, SA) and a postfix (100, 200, 300, 400,500, 600). I would guess that C and K are 2WD and 4WD, and my first thought was that 100=1/2 ton, 200=3/4 ton and so on, but what's with the 400/500/600? I don't think the assembly manual covers the medium duty trucks.

I also don't know what the difference between C and CA (or K and KA for that matter) is.

On my SPID my truck is a CE26034, which other than the "C" part doesn't map to much.
