Thumbs up demolition derby update !

Lets see Saturday afternoon Terry, Jason and I, loaded Terrys car onto the trailer and got all the stuff we needed for the race. Then we had some free time so we went to my house to drop off the car. We went next door to Robs house and checked out how he was doing. Everything was fine, so we thought ! So we loaded up and headed to the truck pulls. I will post the pics for that later. At least the couple of our trucks.

Sunday morning wake up at 9:30 AM hung over !! Had fun at the truck pulls ! Anyway my day started out rough, but it got better. Went next door to see if I could Help out Rob on any last min things! He was finishing up some little things. He decided to take the car out for a test drive witch he should have done on Saturday. The car would not stay running ? We messed with it for a little but and Rob remembered that he had not set the timing ! So we set the timing and everything, then we tinkered with the carb and bam everything away perfect. Ready to go !!

I headed out to the derby at 2:30 PM. Got out there and got checked in picked our spot for the pits, and started to get unpacked. Did some more little work to the cars and we
were ready to go. We had 3 cars in our pit this year. Terry’s 01 car, Rob’s 48 car, and Dean’s 2 car. They were all ready for the 6:00 PM drivers meeting.

We started out with Dean in the first heat ! He did pretty good, his car had some stupid issues. It had a flat spot on the fly wheel and would not start after it died unless you
turned over the motor by hand. Second heat Terry and Rob went out, both did a good job. Terry moved onto the Main and Rod went to the consolation round. The Main was great, lost of beating and banging going on there. Terrys car made it like half way through the Main, Dean’s car sat most of the main, “sorry man well get it next year”. Some guy with car painted up like the 49’s helmet won the main ! I thing it was a set up... J/K It was a really fun time and we are going to be out there next year.

Terry took a 1st in the second heat. He got another prize in the Main. He cut his arm open and took 10-11 staples ! The black knob on the column shifter, broke and his arm got cut on the column ! We all loaded up and headed home at around 9:00 PM. Got every thing home and drank some beers !

Here are some pic’s Hope you guys like ! Have fun goto a durby !!

Here is a pic of all the guy's ! Thank you everyone for coming out and helping us out with the cars !
