New '82 Crewcab project truck / tow rig

Hi, I've been reading this forum a few weeks & wanted to post some pics of my new '82 2wd Crewcab dually project truck / classic tow rig for my '76 El Camino drag car:

It was originally a 6.2 diesel/TH400 w/4.10 gears, converted to a 350 gas at some point over the years. I picked it up about a month ago from a family member & drove it 200 miles home, ran good but smoked blue pretty bad on decel. Started in on replacing the valve guide seals, found #5 cyl had no compression, pulled the heads & found it was already 60over & had a 1/4" deep gash in the #5 cylinder wall.

I pulled it & dropped in a new Goodwrench 350 & radiator & with info I found here I've gotten the gas gauges & tank switcher back working & hope to have the a/c back going soon.

I've got a small amount of fiberglass repair to do on the drivers fender, fix a small wrinkle in the front passengers door, & then sand it down & repaint it the factory brown hopefully this winter.

Thanks,
