Brake problem...frustrated
helping my buddy...
It's a 1970 K20, v8, drum brakes, power booster was installed 15 years ago. Booster replaced by mechanic recently after new shoes, cylinders, MC, and brake lines. Truck stopped well after brake work a month ago, but now acts like it doesn't even have "power" brakes....must press very hard to stop. Brought back to mechanic but he can't seem to be able to fix. He re-adjusted brakes and was good for a short while, but now is hard to stop again and if you press hard enough, brake light comes on! Took drums off, linings look good. Any suggestions? Thanks |
