'68 C20 Fuel Sending unit removal.

Hello,

I have a '68 C20, and need to remove the sending unit.

If I disconnect the wire from the fuse, the gauge shoots past full, and if I reconnect that and ground out the sending unit side of the wire it goes the empty way. So, as I understand, the gauge is fine. Full range.

I disconnected the wire and the fule line to sending unit, and now I believe I just need to tap on the four tines counter clockwise until that ring/holder is free, correct?

Anything else I should be aware of?

Thanks in advance!
