Hooker Comp headers and manual trans...

Anyone here run Hooker Headers Competition headers part #2452 with a manual transmission? What mods if any did you have to do to your bell crank( Z-bar)???

Mine has apparently been rubbing or in a bind. The truck got really hard to shift the other night with very little pedal travel. I was in the next town over, and I made it through all the numerous stoplights in that town without shifting. I got a mile from home and was forced to downshift, and one of the arms broke off the z-bar. I was able to get the truck to start in 2nd gear, and I limped the rest of the way home.

It had been done so long ago I had forgotten, but one of my dad's coworkers had ground off and rewelded the arm that broke. It was the arm from the pedal instead of the arm from the zbar to the clutch fork though . I'm not sure why we modifiied it that way because I believe you would need to modify the arm by the headers for extra clearance.

Anybody else have any issues like this?
