Re: Ebay Deal? SWB Restored $12k

referring to the placement on the driver's side under the cheyenne nameplate. It's "normally" placed left justified (i.e. left edges line up) - this truck (that was on ebay) is right justified on the driver's side. However, having said that - the jury is still out on whether or not that's an indication it was added on later - or whether it was an anomaly on the assembly line. Considering there are a few restos out there that put them in that place, seems a bit more than a coincidence. Until recently, I'd only seen that placement on clones - but have since seen 1 or 2 that I believe are probably very original and the driver's side placement is right justified. So, who knows. Anyway, generally speaking, the Super nameplate is left justified. TBD if there were some done differently at the factory. When you consider there was no other emblem placed on that location, seems an odd place to misplace it for a clone (i.e. like not maybe just taking advantage of the 8/350 holes on a 70 fender, for example - because those were centered). So the right justified examples had to be deliberately placed there by either a restorer or the factory. Look at the examples below for what is considered the usual placement, left justified on both sides of the truck:
