Rear End problem
I have a problem that I need inputs on. It is a ford narrowed nine inch that my brother had put in. The problem is that the rear end is so narrowed that I can not get the brake calipers on. the area that the brake calipers need to go to have the two piece metal supports there on both sides. Is it possible to cut a part of the support on the outer edge rear so that I can get the calipers on? It would be back behind where the U bolts and nuts bolt around the rear end and through to the supports. Or would this make the rear end too weak as far as the supports are concerned? Any info would be helpful. I might be at the stage of putting a drum type Chevy rear end back on the truck. Wootdog
