Wheel help!!!
Well long time lurker first time poster.
Finally got my one ton. 1988 one ton 3+3 with 6.2, th400, NP205, 14, 60. Came with 4.56 gears. Just like the CUCVs i was looking for. Ok. Heres the deal. Ordered my suspension from ORD. 4inch shackly flip and 2 inch block for rear. Front Tuff country 6inch springs with crossover steering and New PSC two wheel drive box. Also new kingpin kit due to having death wobble on the way home with my new toy. Well i have all the suspension figured out but i am having one heck of a time trying to decide on what wheels and size i want to get. I am thinking 16x8 with 315/70r16 hankook dynapro MTs or toyo mts in the the same size. I had also though about 16x10 rims but don't really like the look and want the tall skinny look. Am i ok with 8 inchers? Also 37 inch tires may be in the future for this truck to help out with the axle ratio. I would still like the wheels to stick out a decent amount to offset the lift kit. I was going to go with Mickey Thompson Classic IIs with the 4 inch offset. Any one know if there is another heavy duty rim with the same pricepoint with either less offset say 3inch or that is made in 8.5 or 9 inch? I know its alot to digest and might be confussing but i am freeking out about what to acctaully do! If anyone has any pics of any of the wheel combose i mentioned please post them. I will try and get some pics up of the truck in the future with a build page. Have lots of plans for the future. Thanks Brent Last edited by belldar; 09-13-2012 at 04:54 PM.
