Truck bed/ fender support

I have a long box and seem to have developed a crack on the right bedside in front of the wheelwell. Didn't these trucks have some sort of piece of round stock that bolted from a cross rail bed floor support to the bedside underneath? I let the wife do a burnout as I promised she could during the entire time I built the motor, and that section of the bedside was "flapping". Easy fix it seems, but I'd rather put something stock on there if I could.

Seems like every time I get something fixed, something else pops up... I just keep telling myself "you wanted to be cool and do a truck...". Then I crack open a cold one and fix it.

Good judgment comes from experience, and experience, well......that comes from bad judgment.

1968 Chevy C-10 "Longshot": Bought used from my Uncle George in 1994 and proceeding to beat the hell out of it for 4 years. Sold it. Bought it back, dumped an ungodly amount of money into it since then.
