New Member introduction-'72 k10 owner

Hello,

I just want to introduce myself to this forum. I have done quite a bit of reading and this forum has already helped me resolve my heater blower issues. I just bought a 72 chevy in early september and with my limited time, I have started going through it. First was the heater core, fan ducting, and blower speed function. I'm not completely finished yet but I have resolved pretty much all my issues within this area. I do have a few questions though.

First, My chrome oil pan is leaking so that I am guessing I will have to pull the motor to do so? I want to go with a gm oil pan and get rid of the chinese crap that has caused the problems. When I do this, I was thinking about my transmission and transfer case.

My muncie 4 speed and np 205 transfer case has some leaks. I was wondering if there is any kind of overdrive conversion I could do with the sm465? If not, I think I may just have a guy go through it and replace seals. Everything runs very well, just leaks.

If you have suggestions for the best way to set up a parking brake I'm all ears. Almost everything is there, other than the park brake cable guide.
