Fuel tank swap??

I've got a 72' 2wd and I'm starting to rebuild it going to put a wooden bed off of a 69 on and I'm wanting to put the fuel tank in the frame but I don't want to cut a hole in the bed side for the fill tube any opinions or any nifty ideas anyone could throw to me
