Smile Heater/Defrost Controls - Followup

Just a followup note of thanks and additional question relating to the Heater /Defrost Controls and unit.

Posted a "what to do" question abut 6 weeks ago. Got lots of excelent help. I have since successfully fixed the controls. jewels instructions were right on the mark. I would suggest one small additional instruction (for dummies & procrastonators like me), to mark the cables as to which lever they came off of. I didn't, and had to take it apart and re-assemble.

Here is a related followup question.
When the fan motor is "ON" and the Heater/Defrost lever in the "Heater" position, should there be any air flow through the defrost vent. When I slide the Defrost "ON" there is an obvious heavy air flow.

Do I have a bad baffel/diverter that needs replacing or is there some air flow diverted to the windshield even when the heater is ON?

Again thanks in advance for your patience in educating me.

Joe
