rear leaf spring arch

Hello All,

I am not sure if my rear springs are toast or not. This truck is sort of new to me and it is more for trail rides (death valley), nothing extreme. It is a 2500 4wd 56" REAR SPRING. I want to add a BDS 2.5 inch front spring and blocks to the rear but the rear springs do not look right to me.

The arc of the spring is not continuous. It starts nice at the shackle/mount but soon flattens and actually goes negative. Sort of like i have seen on very large dump trucks.

The truck rides well and I do not see any visible cracks or defects. Considering the negative arc on factory front spring I am wondering if this is a normal shape for the rears. I really do not want to go to 4 or 6 inch at this time, But if i need to buy new springs then I may as well go all the way.

Thanks,
Chris
