47-54 questions??

Ok guys got a couple questions about 47-54 3100 Chevy trucks. First:What was the first year for vent windows? Next:What year did they move the gas tank from under the bed to behind the seat? And last: Was heat an option? (I've seen with and without.) I'm trying to start a 47-54 project and I know what I like and dislike on these trucks,this will help me narrow down the search. Even though I can't decide if I like a 3 or 5 window cab,I think I'm leaning more towards the 3.

One more think,does anyone know of a reference book on these trucks,kind of like a buyers guide that shows the different models and options and the changes they made year to year?
