Re: 1948 Chevy / S10
Chevette, 99 to Life, oldman3, SSABMUD, Thank you all. I am really pleased with them.
I finished up the inner wells this morning and started to fix the rust around the windshield. Then got side tracked with getting ready for another bad storm. I had a generator give to me by my father in law 10 years ago and it did not run. So you know waiting to the last minute I decided to work on it. I tore the carb all apart. Had to solder a hole up in the float, cleaned everything up. Then tore the head off of it because of a stuck valve. Freed it up and put it back together. Fabbed up a gas tank out of a gas can. Then made up a adapter to start it with my cordless drill. It was missing all the starting stuff. It is a 5000 watt one and best of all $0. It runs great! I have a new sump pump so we will hopefully good to go. This year we are in better shape than last year for the flood/storm. Shannon
