Ran across this in the parking lot at a strip mall. It stopped me in my tracks!! Straight as a pin.
Found the owner working in a bike shop and he happily showed me the truck. I was driving my '71 so I think that helped break the ice. His GREAT grandpa bought it new, 130 some thousand original miles, bed covered since new. Unmolested except for tires, belts, hoses, etc... and a couple holes for CB or something in the 70's. Absolutely the most solid door thunk I've felt and the nicest original I've seen in 20 years. Not a speck of rust. Original paint. Bed floor is breathtaking. Yes he was driving it to work in the rain.... ![]() I'd have tried to buy it if he hadn't mentioned grandpa and the fact his 5 yr old daughter loves it. Don't worry, he appreciates the originality and has no plans to change it.
