68-327 short block and other stuff

I have a 1968 rebuilt 327 out of a Impala. I originally built this motor 10 years ago but only assembled it , never ran it. It was a running complete engine that was a little tired, I installed the 3x2 intake and drove it for a while but decided to rebuild it and do it right.

The original build had double hump heads with 2.02/1.94 , domed pistons with the comp cam.

1968 impala 2 Bolt main, large journal crank and rods

NEW PARTS: not installed, in boxes

Cloyes double roller timing set #C-3023X
DORMAN 8" harmonic balancer #594-006
Sealed Power lifters(16) #HT-817
Mr Gasket chrome timing cover set #4590

NEW PARTS in assembled short block

Duralast cam bearings
Mellings standard oil pump and pick-up
Molly rings
flat top pistons
rod bearings
main bearing
rear main seal
oil pump drive shaft , heavy-duty metal
Comp Cams 12-210-2(49)

LABOR & MACHINE work

recheck all clearances and machine work
Hot tank block
paint block and oil pan
chamfer bore tops
chamfer all bolt holes
bottom tap all threads
clean, resize and install new bolts in rods
install new cam bearings
bore and hone .30 over
assemble pistons to rods and install rings
assemble short block
slide in cam, install pistons into bores, install crank, torque everything to spec, install oil pump and new drive shaft, install new pick up(set to fit oil pan)

I had cam installed into block to protect bearing from rust
still needs freeze plugs , I didn't have them put in because i was going to complete the long block, detail it out then install plugs

I have lost the rest of the gasket set, cam gear retainers and assorted finishing bolts and nuts, they were in a separate box.

So we have a almost ready to go short block with some nice street upgrades

I am asking $800 I had around $1200 in the first build and add re hot tanking block, installing cam bearings etc

engine $800

pair of1964 double hump heads 1.94/1.50 valves never run, only installed
hot tanked, maged and pressure checked, light decking, 3 angles valve job, new springs, new valve seals, new valve guides
no accessory bolt heads

heads $350

complete Edelbrock 3X2 intake and carbs
The intake was bead blasted, carbs gone thru and rejeted prior to me running these 10 years ago. I drove it for around 1,500 miles before deciding on rebuilding the motor.
Edelbrock 5419 intake
proper tri power Rochester 2 g carbs, center carb with choke and thin throttle blade, front end carb has the thick throttle blade and no choke provisions, the rear end carb has the the thick throttle blade but i had to replace the top so it has plugged choke provisions
helmet style air cleaners
progressive throttle linkage
This ran well with the 327 with 2.02 double hump heads and the old dunov 30/30 cam and extruded honed vette ram-horn manifolds.
will probably need to be regasketed because it has been stored fr quite a few years. I talked to the owner, can't remember his name, of HOT ROD carbs and he said that the kits for the carbs would run about $30 a piece and the jets about $12 for each carb. If you bought the jets from him he would give you the right sized jets for your application.

complete 3X2 system $1000

NOS 1966 finned vette valve covers ................SOLD

All prices above reflect what I need out of them, I have more that what I am asking in them. Cash talks.........
Will accept Cash, Paypal with 3% added or USPS money orders.

As far as shipping,
engine pick-up only
I would rather not ship the intake, would need to be broken down, carbs will fit into large USPS flat rate box, the intake itself weighs weighs around 16 pounds
valve covers around 4 pounds apiece
cylinder heads around 49 boxed apiece
to save us both time figure shipping at the above weights dropped off at Fedex or UPS centers from zip 28387

A few pictures will be posted, I have many more and will email them to you if you email me with what you want pix for in the subject line
