New North Guy

Hello All,
My name is Don and I am very new to forums so please bare with me until I get a hang of this media. I am Canadian and live in Ottawa. My daughter lives in San Diego and works for a military contractor. My son is in the Canadian Navy and has served time in Afghanistan fighting with your boys. My father was born in Salt Lake City. I work for Environment Canada doing emission testing on engine platforms entering Canada. We also work with EPA testing all sorts of utility engines. My wife and I purchased a home in Oceanside California to get away from these awful Canadian winters. Although I am a experience (45 years) auto tech I will need your help on my 68 GMC with regards to parts swapping and modifications. My ride comes with a six cylinder and powerglide transmission and coil rear. All hubs are 6 bolt. I wish to do a 3/5 suspension, new GM 350 crate engine, beefed up powerglide and a frame up restore ending with a canary yellow paint (still in review) With our first grandchild coming next year the project will be called "Grampa's Ride"
Don
PS The river froze last night and California looks very SWEET right now
