The inner cowl lip that forms the pinchweld flange behind the firewall was rotted out over nearly the full width of the firewall. I couldn't find a patch panel for it, so that meant I'd have to make my own. Out on the ends where I'd sectioned the cowl, I used a stretcher and shrinker to form the curved pieces and then welded them in. After the inner cowl repair on the passenger side was complete, I shot a heavy coat of undercoating on the inside and welded it all together.
