Unplugged Computer Controlled Quadrajet on older truck
I had a good computer controlled quadrajet given to me, it came off some guys daily after he stuck a Holley on it. I seen it driving around daily, so I think it is good.
Since this is an electric choke model, is there anyway I can stick this on my beater '82 4x4 with the sensors and stuff unhooked, and run keyed 12 volt ignition to the choke plug? Or is there someway to put this electric choke setup on my divorced choke carb? It currently has a divorced choke quadrajet with all the linkage removed and it's pretty hard to start. This truck is a rolling rust ball that only gets driven about 12 miles a week so I'm not too concerned about how it looks or getting the best fuel mileage/performance. Or spending anymore money on it. |
