Glad to be here!

Hello! My name is Michael. I just bought my first old truck - a 1972 Chevy Cheyenne SWB. I was fortunate enough to buy it from the son of the original owner, and it came with the metal Protecto Plate, a paper warranty card, and of course the SPID in the glove box. It is a cool old truck and appears to be all original except for a couple of spots where the original owner did some rattle can touch-ups. The original paint still has a decent shine but it is thin or cracking in places. I have been lurking on the board for a few months admiring the old trucks and thinking about finding one to enjoy.

I think the first couple of things I will tackle are restoring the trim (the tailgate filler panel in particular is very weathered) and adding 3 point seatbelts. I am not mechanically inclined so this will be a learning process. I am thankful for all of the shared knowledge on the forum.

Glad to meet you all!
