LEAKING Throttle Shaft Question?

This is what I get for talking so highly about my Edelbrock 1407 that was sitting on a shelf for 5 years! A week after installing it on my mid 70's 454 I replaced the spring on my throttle linkage, after working the throttle a few times I noticed gas leaking from the throttle shaft on both sides of the carb but mainly on the passenger side! This is before starting it cold, it leaked about one drop every 5 seconds until it stopped! I warmed it up and took it for a quick spin, popped the hood and no leak! Does the throttle shaft sit on bushings or rubber oil type seals?
