Re: Slowly I build a truck

New Fuel Tank grommet from Wes at Classic Heartbeat.

I put it in a pot of boiling water and wiped the area down with dawn dishwashing soap and slid it on. I pushed it down too far and tried using wooden popcycle sticks to get it back over the lip. They break too easy. I wound up using a screw driver wrapped in electric tape. I had a few panicky moments thinking I wasn't going to get it, but it finally popped into place after about 15 minutes. I wound up using a little bit of white lithium grease on the grommet on the inside of the cab to get that last little bit over the lip.
