4spd to 700r swap

hello, fellow truck members. I am in the process of starting a tranny swap. I've done the search function, but really could not find the answers I am looking for (if there is please post). OK here goes ... truck is a 84 gmc 2wd long bed 3/4 ton with a 4 spd (sm465?-3spd w/granny low). The rear end has removeable drums (not bolt on type). Now, here come the questions. Has any one done this swap? If so, what does this swap consist of ? I'm talking from end of crank to u-joint going into the rearend. Also cables, brackets, electronics, and mounts.
