Removing Brake Booster

Hi,
Can someone give me direction. I'm removing the brake booster to hopefully clean it up, paint it and reinstall (it works fine, just looks bad).

I removed the retainer clip that holds the pin (that connects to the the rod from the booster) but can't seem to get enough leverage to slide the pin out. Is there a trick or something I need to do?

Sorry for the blury photo but I think it conveys what I'm dealing with.

Thanks for your help.
