looking at a truck need some help

im looking at a 47-53 chevy pickup its in amazing shape its got 23k original miles all the chromes great only dents are on the roof no rust but its a 4100 which i understand is a 1.5 ton pickup and my dad says they are a bigger truck is this true? and is it worth anything being a big truck i want to set it on an s10 or similar frame and lay on the ground i have a caddilac 472 with a turbo 400 trans i would like to use thanks alot for any help
