is it possible/hard to do - 5 to 6 lug pattern?
I have searched the forum on the subject of changing from a 5 lug to a six lug, but am still not to crystal clear on if possible and what exactly it would take and difficulty of task. I will gladly take any info you can share on how-to for any part of the task and/or any info on pt#s / vendors for any particular parts.
Truck is an 85, 1/2ton, 2 wheel drv, 305/th350. 1 ¼“ rotors. It has 2.5 drop spindles already installed. Here is the reason for my quest: First I will say that I really like the ralley look but I have a set of 20” DOAs toe tag wheels/tires collecting dust in my garage that I took off my 01 suburban but they are 6 lug pattern hence the question on if they would fit a 6 lug pattern of a square if I can practically retrofit my current set up. I believe these wheels are hub centric, would that play a role in them fitting a 6 lug pattern if I changed it. Don’t get me wrong, I am not stuck on these wheels it’s just that I have them and thought “how hard would it be to change the patter”. I have tried to sell them but it’s not working. I don’t want to spend a lot of money since it’s a kind of “well I got them, why not see if I can make them fit” Thanks for any info on the task or on if the wheels would even work. |
