I have a few questions
Ok i have been thinking about doing the front disc brakes set up on my 1964 gmc. I have a complete front have of the frame from a 85 chevy silverado. I has the 1 1/4" rotors on it. My plan is to remove just the control arms and spindles and rebuild them with new bushing and ball joints. Then new calipers etc...
Now i have been looking at the 6 lug rotors from cpp. You can buy the pair for $130 + shipping. I called and they use the same bearings as the factory 5 lug rotors. A5 national inner bearings and A3 national outter bearings. Now for you guys that have done the set up using the lower control arm and spindles from the 89-93, 94 3/4 ton 2 wheel drive pickups so you can buy your 6 lug rotors over the counter i have a question for you. From what I've looked up they also use the A5 and A3 national bearings. So why cant i use the rotors from the 89-93,94 3/4 ton 2wheel drive on the 85 spindles? Or can you? Are the rotors differant diamiters? If you know please let me know. Other plans are to use all the 85 truck parts i can to upgrade to power steering and power brakes. Posted via Mobile Device
