Re: Rusty, crushy, but trysty.

The rest of my parts came in, the door trim is a genuine gm part, the whell moldings are cheap but the pas front piece i fit seems to fit pretty good. The fuel filler hose i got, not even close to being right, will half to call lmc and see if i can return it. I got a new 4WD switch, now my light works in the dash. I decided to look into the tick noise, i was able to narrow it down to cylinder 7 with holding a hose to my ear and moving it around the engine. I re-adjusted the lifters on the dr side, started it up still ticking. I left the valve cover off and worked the valves from front to back, found #7 exhaust was ticking, tighten it down quiet then noisy, tighten it more, quiet then noisy. So i figured a bad lifter or worn cam. The cam was already installed by the previous owner, but engine is under 10,000 mile from rebuild. Today i pulled the intake, push rods and pulled the lifters and behold i found the noise problem, the bottom of #7 lifer is worn really bad, guessing it was not broke in correctly. I still need to pull the water pump and cam out but i already put a new cam and lifter set on order from summit racing.
